The muddiest point for me in this unit was writing the equations. It did not matter if it was a sine or cosine equation or the secant, cosecant, tangent, or cotangent equations. I always had the most trouble in finding the period and the phase shift. I started to understand how to write the equations and then I forgot altogether. I understand how to write the equations a little more now, and hope that I understood it for the test for this unit. I felt pretty good after i took the test so hopefully I get a good grade. Another part that I kept forgetting was which way the cotangent and tangent graphs went. I kept getting the tangent and cotangent graphs mixed up, which could have made a huge problem on the test. I now understand that the tangent graph goes up and the cotangent graph goes down, unless I just said that backwards again.
This unit seemed to be easy in points, but in others it seemed to get more difficult. Another spot I had trouble at was the story problems. I did not know how to write a correct equation for some of the harder problems but soon found out an easier way to figure it out by getting help from Mr. Jackson. This unit seemed to be easier than last unit because of less information that was new and because it just seemed easier for me.
