B.O.B. - Unit 3

The identities unit was pretty easy when compared to the other units that I have gone through this trimester. However, there was still a point that the unit cause me some difficulties. That point was when we added the double angle and half angle identities to our list. This confused me because there were now close to one and half dozen formulas that I had to know and/or be aware of in order to complete the work. At first, this was a problem, but then as I used the formulas in some of the homework, I began to memorize certain formulas and what they "converted" into. Also with the help of some of my classmates I was able to understand some of the mistakes I was making throughout the course of this unit.

B.O.B. - Unit 2

This unit was easier for me then last. However, I did still have difficulty part way into the unit. If I had to guess I would say that the hardest point for me would be when we first started graphing sine and cosine equations. I kept forgetting to change the "y" values of the sine graph from the cosine values to the appropriate numbers. Other than that, I would say that this unit was a lot easier to go through. I could tell there was a similar amount of homework, but, since I was able to understand the concepts of this unit better, I was able to complete the work with a lot less questions and in a lot less time. All in all, I would say that this unit was an easier and "nicer" unit when compared to the previous one.

Math has always been my favorite subject, but this tri for me has been quite a struggle. I've never gotten less than a "A-" in a math class... and I'm not so happy with my "C-." i totally understand the unit circle and pretty much the sin and cos functions. but the csc, cot, sec, and tan functions always get me! ill be sure to come in for extra help soon!!!

B.O.B - Unit 1

When we started this unit I was confident I could do the work because I was really good with the unit circle in Algebra 2. However, I was over confident and started to get behind in my work because I thought I could just fly through the work. It is no surprise that I needed help for a while, especially when Secant, Cosecant, and Cotangent were added to the mix. It wasn't until I had engrained the unit circle into my memory that I was able to quickly solve the problems that I was presented with. Every time I needed a coordinate pair, I image the unit circle in my head and find the point I need. If we hadn't gone over the unit circle so much I feel that I wouldn't know the information that I'd need to in order to pass this unit.
